Cursor busy circle constantly on

I just purchased a new HP computer with Windows 7 and I'm using IE9. The cursor busy circle is constantly running and nothing I do makes it go away. There are no programs trying to open and nothing being downloaded , it happens just by moving the mouse. I already ran a full scan and there are no viruses. I went to the Microsoft website forum but they don't really seem to know what is causing this problem. I read that it might be Constant Guard which is offered by Comcast with Norton so I uninstalled it but that didn't help , I also read it might be the printer software but I haven't tried that yet, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this ? and do you think Windows 8 might resolve it ?

But since you can uninstall that and test, that's the next step. Also, try another browser such as Chrome.

Hi, I finally solved the problem, it was the printer software ! Once I uninstalled the software the busy cursor circle was gone, then I contacted HP support and I found someone who seemed to know the answer, if you install your printer wirelessly and then have it turned off the system will be constantly looking for the printer and that's why the busy circle stays on. I haven't installed the software back and turned the printer on but it does make sense.

For example I had to guess such before but it rarely is a certain guess. Lexmarks have done this too.

I had the same problem cursor always busy. It just started then I remembered I just installed a wireless printer to both computers. I uninstalled the software and problem went away. Reinstalled software and problem came back. So for me its the wireless printer accessing my computer.
