How to find a driver for Mass Storage Controller?

Alright, so, I'm not a very computer savvy individual, but I will try my hardest to describe the problem.

I have gotten very lucky and acquired a Microworks Black-Hawk XR-5 gaming laptop. Basic story is that my father's company purchased it to run a very complicated program and the laptop ended up not working with it. So it's been collecting dust for years until I picked it up and began using it.

The laptop had XP on it when I got it, but I soon installed Windows 7 and that went rather smoothly, except one thing. The Mass Storage Conroller is missing a driver? Windows can't seem to figure out what driver I need either, as going through the automatic updates solves nothing and it keeps telling me that Windows can't find the driver software. I'd simply go to the manufacturer and find what driver I need, however, Microworks seems to no longer have a page.So, I have absolutely no idea what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Such drivers are over at the maker's web site.

I didn't find them either so you may have to research if they were simply a company that stuck labels on the laptop. That is, who made the laptop?

Reading http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/204237-updates-pc-microworks.html it appears to be a Sager or Clevo.

Aha, it's a Clevo 901 as noted at http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/195114-clevo-d901c-drivers-all-same.html

It appears the Microworks did make the cardboard box.

Different name possibly?

Ah, you are my hero. Now I actually know what I'm dealing with. However, there is nothing listed as "Mass Storage Controller" in their list of drivers, and there is nothing for Windows 7.

Is there another name it can go by or used to be called? And if so, will the Vista downloads they have listed work with Windows 7?

Sorry if these are silly questions, as I said, I'm not the most computer savvy person.

The motherboard chipset or the card reader. Sorry I don't have any way to tell which you need but start with the chipset/motherboard driver first.

I don't know if you found them yet or not..

I personal use slim drives to update, I've used it on 4 computers so far. It has worked great on updating drives. I know some people have problems with it but for me it works great. You could all ways give it a try.
