Manage updates with the Download App
on Windows 7? I'm trying to reinstall IE8, since I've been having trouble loading Facebook. Facebook is the only place I've been having trouble. I have a screenshot of what I get, but I guess I can't load it here. After I log into Facebook, it only brings the top menu of links that you see on the Facebook home page when you log in. However, even if I click on the links or try entering text in the search box (like a person), it won't do anything. I tried contacting Facebook for assistance and I tried looking in their FAQs and help pages, but to no avail. Anybody else having this issue? By the way, I've clear the cookies and temp internet files.

Maybe but since IE has issues, why not other browsers?

I use Firefox, Chrome and others and Facebook is fine there.

Is there a fix so that I can open Facebook in IE?

and want to revert to IE8 you can do that by "Uninstalling" the Windows Update that installed IE9. That will restore IE8.
If you never had IE8 on this system then that won't work.
Here's the "Install / Uninstall IE9" guidance from MS;

But before you do perhaps IE9 can be fixed? If you want to post a screen print, upload it to some image hosting web site like ImageShack, Flickr, Photobucket, or any other of your choice, then after checking that it is the full sized image, post a link to that image here.
Many problems with IE can be traced back to bad or corrupted add-ons and we can test for that by disabling all add-ons and re-enabling them, one at a time, until the bad one reappears.
