I've had my laptop, a Lenovo V460 with Windows7, for about a year and just the other day my problem started. I was on Skype with a friend for quite some time and I accidentally let my computer overheat at which point it froze. I force turned it off by holding the power button and when it restarted it displayed the brand name, then displayed the "loading windows" with it's logo and immediately after the screen went black. I could view my mouse for about 30 seconds before that too disappeared. I am able to load my computer in safe mode with no problem but I'm not sure what to do from here. Also I'm not sure if this is related or not, but recently my computer has had what I believe are stuck pixels appearing. They form a rough line from the top of the screen to the bottom to a fairly narrow line, and when I gently press on a specific spot on the screen the all disappear. Could these two things mean my graphics card is going? Any advice on how to mend the issue or at least a diagnosis of what it could be would be great, Thank you.
