Hi all, I'm having troubles with my PC completing downloads. Examples of the problem include:
-Not being able to complete a download. The download will hang at some percentage (5%, 95%, anywhere inbetween) and will never coninue.
-YouTube videos will hang and never restart. I can change the video quality settings (like say from 360p to 480p) and the video will continue.
This problem exists on my desktop PC. PC specs are:
OS: Windows 7
Motherboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3
Processor: Intel i5-2500k
Graphics Card: GTX 560ti
RAM: 2x4 gig sticks (8gB total))
This problem is persistant with my desktop. I have used this desktop on different internet connections (130 miles apart) so I'm fairly sure it's something up with my PC. Other PCs on the same network do not have the issue.
Other system information:
-Microsoft Security Essentials is the only anti-virus installed
-Problem persists over different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.)
-Problem has persisted ever since I built the machine myself ~1 year ago.
-Wired internet connection only
-Problem occurs on any kind of download from the internet.
-Using a download manager (Free Download Manager) resolves problem but can't be used for all downloads.
