Did HP install and supply it with 7?

If so, it should be ready for the card. Here I often just slip in the firewire card and it works with the stock drivers. There are folk that must know what will happen but given too many variables and those new antivirus suites I'm never sure.

Unless the maker supplies an install plan, you only can try. Be sure to ask the maker for exact install plans.

the same card as described in this Microsoft Compatibility Center page, then it is compatible.

I have already checked the Windows 7 Compatibility Centre. The card is actually a PCMCIA laptop card

Any ideas if it would work with Windows 7? I don't want to open it and try it unless I know.
