Acronis Restoral Prob.- Windows is not Genuine (it IS!)

by iCouldaSwore - 5/16/12 2:31 AM

History:

A year ago, I spent several hours in front of the computer installing: Windows 7 64 bit OS; MS Office 2012; and a several other programs we use almost daily. When finished, I did all the updates, activations, etc .. so I had a perfectly setup - but UNUSED system at this point.

The next thing I did, was backup the C Drive with Acronis True Image 2009.
Since then Ive acquired about 2TB of backups. - God, I hope they are not all useless!

Two weeks ago my system was getting slow and stupid - so I figured rather than reloading OS and all of my software, I'd just reload the Image I made a year ago.

After reloading the image (a week ago) Ive had no success. Here are the main problems Ive ran into

A. MBR Error 3 BOOTMGR is Missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

B. MBR Error 2 BOOTMGR is Missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

C. (but before you help me with that .. please read on)

'twas at that point I learned all about creating a System Repair Disk, and:
bootrec /rebuildbcd;
bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup;
attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s
Ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
Bootrec (with) /FixMbr (or) FixBoot (or) ScanOs

The truth is, None of those worked, till I used the First Item that comes up on the CD (I think it was something about getting help for your pc that wont start (paraphrased)) After using that a couple time in a row, the thing started! BUT .... (here is the good part)

Now I get a message in the bottom right corner of my screen that says:
"Windows 7, Build 7601, This copy of Windows is not genuine!

Ive tried everything I can think of.

Ive even watched YouTube vids .. all to no avail .. Im getting to a point that is Critical I get this up and running again, as my wife has a small home business and she MUST get back on here again.

ANY ideas at all?

Q1: WHY does it say that I don't have a genuine copy of Windows?

Q2: Is there something FOOL(Idiot)PROOF out there?

Q3: What am I doing Wrong?

Ive done it both WITH and WITHOUT: the" MBR and Track 0" & HD Signature

The only thing I cant recall is WHICH hard drive I originally had it on, and HOW that drive was configured!

Sorry this is so long, just trying to provide as much pertinent information as possible.

Please Advise & Thank You Very much for taking the time to read (and help if you can)!

Gratefully
