Using SkyDrive as a backup

I got my 25gb from SkyDrive. I had put off backing up files for a while.
I downloaded the Windows 7 app and started sending files up to it (just under 2gb)

Q1-- Does folders sent to SkyDrive automatically kept in sync?
It seems like if I changed any of those folders it would automatically upload new files?

I then went through the process of trying to set up the Windows 7 back up program to use my SkyDrive.
I set it up, as using SkyDrive as a network drive. It couldn't pull back how much space I had. But I let the backup run.

It did put a Windows 7 system back up (about 2.5 gb) but then it errored and said I didn't have enough space.

Q2 - How do I set up Windows 7 Backup to use SkyDrive.

Q3- Are both the SkyDrive app and the Backup App sending files to SkyDrive?

Besides this is not backup until there are 3 or more copies. If you had the stuff you can't lose on Skydrive and only there then forgot a password you may find out a terrible lesson the hard way.

I'm more concerned about you avoiding learning the backup lesson the hard way.
