Windows 7 forum: lost past history

lost past history

i have a windows 7 desktop dell computer. I have had it now for a little over 3 years now. Recently i have not been able to access my past history! As of right now i only have today and yesterday access! I can not understand what has happened! Please help me!!!

- What history? The list of recently opened documents in Start menu>Recent? Or the list of workbooks in File>Recent in Excel? Or something else?
- How recent is recently? Last month? Then the problems seems to be solved if it started saving the history yesterday.
