I'll add a third vote for Thunderbird. Outlook Express was a raging security hazard that should be left in the past. Unless you enjoy receiving spam, having a much higher risk of perpetuating email based viruses and worms, and things of that general nature.

Thunderbird's free, does everything OE could do and then some, and works fine on Win 7 with no special effort needed on your part.

I just got a new computer. I'm having the same problem. I managed to import my email from Outlook Express into Windows LiveMail. Just asked where the address book is.

Thunderbird v LiveMail

I don't know if all who responded will see this - but thanks a lot ... Thunderbird seems to be the Go.
However, Diana has mentioned an important aspect - porting existing emails to the new email client. I was expecting to have to do it the hard way. So can Thunderbird also import email folders from OE? I'll see.
Thanx again everyone. No doubt I'll be pickin ur brains with another PC woe soon. All the best for 12.

I've imported all my Outlook Express mails into Thunderbird without any issues.
