Windows 7 Pro - Account Administrator.
HISTORY - (It is a 'Windows 7 pro' and Not an MS Office 2010 question - please read on)
When using MS Word 10 I wanted to change the 'normal' style, so that I did not have to continually change settings every time I loaded Word 10.
I proceded to change the 'normal' by entering font, making the desired changes then choosing the option to make all future Docs.
I did the same for the paragraph settings.
everything seemed OK whilst Word 10 was still loaded.
However, after exiting and then re-loading Word 10 - Lo and Behold - You guessed it the old normal was re-instated.
I thought I would load the 'normal' template and make the changes - save the template and all would be fine.
This is where I found out that even as an administrator - (indeed it is my own personal computer - I paid for it.) I do not have permission to enter the directory (file Manager, explorer etc) that contains the offending file.
QUESTION:
How can we get back control of our own computers - the same control we had in Windows XP and previous versions ?
