HELP ! PC WONT WORK

OK,I turn it on...lights flash on the key I see the big E symbol hear the normal beep and then It just stops...and a lil blinker in the top right corner of screen..SEEMS ONLY the F12 key works..no F8,10.....I tried a new monitor..same thing !
please help !

Let me take a wild guess and that you are using an "EMACHINE" computer, well there's your problem, they usually use really cheap hardware, so walmart can sell it to you for less than normal price. "I got a great deal" not really! This sounds like a problem with the onboard video, just purchase a new video card, check to see if you are running agp or pci-E then just put the card in the allotted spot. Take care and good luck.

ya right cheap...lol I just tried to turn it on again...keyboards lights flash..I hear the start up beep...I see the big E for emachines then blank screen and nothing,fan is on....thanks my man I dont even know how to see if I agp or the other ,...thats the video card..thanks again

What is the F12 key supposed to do? And does it do it?

My guess is that it's not the video card. I think somehow the OS is damaged. Can you boot from your recovery disk?

Check Bios

I have also faced the same problem a year ago...
It was bios which was not compatible with windows 7. Try some other OS.
