Hi Mark, first thanks for replying

When i right click the downloaded file "cnet_powertab_zip.exe" i don't get the Extract because it's an EXE file!!!
This is part of the problem!!!

When I look at that product I don't see W7 as a supported OS.

That does not mean it won't work.......just a flag.

As well as from Bob's observation, I also see something else.

That "cnet_powertab_zip.exe" is not the Power Tab Editor installation file. It is CNET's new installer file procedure which then downloads the Power Tab Editor setup file.

http://download.cnet.com/Power-Tab-Editor/3000-2133_4-10502034.html?tag=mncol;1 is the software you are talking about I believe.

If you look at that green "Download Now" button, then look immediately beneath that, you will find a small font link named, "Direct Download Link". Clicking that will take you to the download page and your browser should automatically offer you the download of "powertab.zip".

Try that, but please note what Bob says that this software does not seem to be compatible with Windows 7. I don't see any newer Win 7 compatible version at http://www.power-tab.net/products.php

However, Windows 7 does have a Compatibility Mode and this software may install via that;
