How do I get IE 9 to open to maximum size?

I'm running windows 7 and recently download IE 9, now when I open my browser to web page, the top and bottom of the screen is not filled but showing part of my screen saver. Is this a shortcoming of IE 9?

Thanks for any suggestions on how to possibly correct this.

Windows 7 Aero makes headers, side edges and bottom edge translucent, so that the Desktop background image shows through. When a window is maximised, the side edges don't show this transparency, but the top and bottom still do.

Is this what you are seeing? If so, open Display Properties, (right click any empty part of the Desktop, select Properties), then at the bottom select "Windows Color".

On the next page you will see "Enable transparency". Disable that if you wish. Or, adjust the slider to to make the borders more or less transparent as you prefer.
