I get trhese error messages along with user name and password, I do not use a password and I have reentered my user name. I still am unable to receive or send emails.

Strange, I thought all email client software and email servers required a password.

What is the FULL text of the message?

2. These messages (at least 2 of them) are EXPECTED when you are not on your cable modem at home.

On their support page should be a link to ask how to reset your email password on their servers.

Some folk try this when they are not connected to Road Runner cable.

You'll also want to go over the email settings (I can't do that for you) and see if they match Road Runner's setup page.
