Admin on Windows 7 pro unable to do windowsupdates

I am Administrator on my new mini dell portable laptop
it is WIndows 7 professional and as of last night it is telling me I do not have admin rights to do Windows updates.

Would disabling UAC stop windows updates from functioning?
I do not think so!
