But how do you know? You say you've never had any problems, but how do you really know for sure? Maybe you have had problems but you blamed it on something else. Or maybe the problems are just waiting to be discovered.
I don't care who makes it, if it's free or paid, the only registry cleaning you ever need on Windows is that of malware removers that get rid of malware related entries. Otherwise, there's nothing at all to really be gained from "cleaning" the registry on Windows. Superfluous entries are going to have such a negligible impact on the amount of extra resource consumption, it may as well be none. It's like saying you're not going to eat the crumbs from a cookie because you're on a diet.
Best case scenario, a registry "cleaner" does absolutely nothing. Worst case scenario, they wipe out some key entry needed by a vital program, it goes nuts because the programmers were too lazy to account for this particular form of user stupidity, and you waste a lot of time first trying to fix the issue, then ultimately having to reinstall.
