Finance software for Windows 7?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some finance software that is compatible with Windows 7 that lets me do the basic things finance software does. I previously used Microsoft Money, then I swapped to a Mac and started to use iBank (which I loved), and I'm now back on a PC for the foreseeable future and need something new.

I've been told to get Quicken 2011, but I'm not a fan of the Quicken series of software.

What other programs do you recommend? Looking for something fairly featured, so free or pay for, doesn't matter to me.

it won't be supported much longer.

After extensive research I switched from Microsoft Money to ADARIAN MONEY. I have run it for over a year and I am very happy with it

MSFT Money Fine, but can't add any investment

I was a long timer with Quicken, but needed to find something else for Windows 7
I downloaded MSFT Money Plus Sunset and imported my Quicken history, and everything works perfectly fine but with a big, big issue: I apparently cannot add any new investment (stock, mutual fund etc.) in my portfolio since Money's asking for a symbol and a country/region which it can't find since the online services have been terminated.
Is anyone having the same issue or am I doing something wrong?

That issue is documented and since the sites are gone, you know there is no fix. I know of no free apps that do all that MS Money and Quicken offer.

Well, thanks for the confirmation
Oddly it does not appear as a documented issue in the MSFT Money Forum
I have posted the same problem and the response is "strange, I do not have the same issue, try this and that"
It might be coming from people still using the pre-end of life version, not the Sunset one
A pity if it is indeed a limitation, as being able to manually add investments would have been great

I bet they didn't do the same thing as you did. There are discussions out there about it but as the team that maintains MS Money is no more there is no hope of the web pages to be updated. I can see where folk might find that confusing.

Time to shop for the next app.
