MAXTOR One Touch needs driver for Windows 7

Seagate now owns Maxtor and I can't find any support on their website to download the driver I need to get my External HD up and running. I backed up all my critical files there and can't do anything until I get the drivers. Does anybody have a link with the drivers location.

But no USB drive I have at the office (we have dozens) needed a driver from its maker.

It is true a few machines needed USB drivers from the machine makers but your story is incomplete.

if you're talking about using a passworded one touch, you need maxtor manager, which is a "setup" file in the "windows old" folder (presuming that you upgraded in place to windows 7). Running this file was the only way I could access my old but still-trusty one touch.
