Vaio VGN-AR630E Motion Eye Camera

I have tryed everything to try and get this motion eye camera going.I have a possible idea what it could possibly be but not sure how to track it down.I am thinking that the camera drivers ( Program ?) are possibly not compatable with one of the other programs I have on computer.But,how do you check something like that out,besides taking your programs off one by one.Has to be easier way than that.Any help would be appreciated.T.I.I.Almost forgot the most important info. being, I am working on a Vaio VGN-AR630E laptop.Am now running windows 7 32 bit.

What I meant to say in post above reaguarding programs is that they are conflicting w/ each other,not non compatable.

Drivers? Sony?

The thing you learn about Sony machines is to use the OS the laptop came with. This lesson is hard on some IT staff and can cause those that haven't learned this lesson to turn red or explode into flames.

Try this. Use the restore media and the OS the Sony came with. Tell the owner that Sony didn't issue drivers (which is true for most of their PCs.)

sony motion eye camera

Thing is it came w/ vista 32 home premium.When the laptop was brand new it worked.Did full sony disc recovery and has never worked since.That was w/ operating system it came with.Now that I have win 7 on it,it's doing exact same thing.But I'll have to tell you it has never ran this nice and this smooth since I've had it new.Runs so much nicer with windows 7 32 bit vs. vista 32 bit.After I got my video graphics card to match up perfectly I was home free.Very happy w/ alt. op. system.I never gained nor lost anything w/out camera not working.I just thought since I had it,it would be nice if it worked.Everything else works great.Video card drivers were a real challenge,but after that it was smooth sailing.No Thanks to Sony T.I.A.

Workarounds.

I had one poor soul that worked, searched for 2 months for a camera driver. I looked for a bit and came down to "no driver." My workaround was a web cam that had drivers. It took more time for them to give up and us a cheap web cam.

Yea,you know I believe you are probably right.I'm done waisting my time on this.Sony does offer a driver for there camera on web site for my pc.I downloaded it and it showes up in add and remove programs,but nowhere else.thats why I am thinking a conflict somewhere ??
