RECENT PLACES not recent!

My RECENT PLACES folder seems to be messed up... is the link SUPPOSED to be /Users?username/Links ..?

The folder showed one OLD website, but isn't it supposed to show folders I've recently accessed? I used to use it all the time in Windows XP, when I do a SAVE AS or whatever I could just go to a recent folder instead of having to navigate to it.

I am not using Windows 7 yet, but assuming it has similarities to Vista, have you tried turning off the Recent items in the Start menu, then turning it back on?

Odd but that's Explorer for you. I found the recent places to be unreliable. I have to write that I wouldn't count on it.
