Deleting Duplicate Files
by flyfisher7 - 1/9/10 3:02 AM
I'm trying to tweak the performance of my laptop. It doesn't run too slow now, but I am always trying to keep up on the maintenance of it. Anyway, I have downloaded 2 duplicate file eraser programs both of which have found over 20,000 duplicate files. I skimmed through them and a lot are preloaded files and the rest are windows files. I assume I am getting duplicate windows files because of upgrading from Vista to 7? That's not the main question though. Both of these duplicate eraser programs find all of the duplicates but will not erase any of the files when I click "delete all". I am stumped by this as it would free up a lot of disk space for me. Are there any good programs out there that I can use? Does Windows have a program built in I can use? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
