Windows 7 forum: Windows 7 Driver needed for HP 932c printer

I did try connecting the printer directly to the windows 7 laptop & it printer great, But when i try to network to my base machine, my windows 7 laptop finds the printer but tells me its need a driver??? But it works just find when I plug the hp 932 in directly to the win 7 machaine?? Very frustating??

When i recconected another xp machine i have no problems printing from the base machine where the hp 932 is located??? Please any help

I hear you about Jan on the drivers, but now i don't think it is a driver issue being the hp932 did print when hooked directly to the windows 7 machine. It just dosn't print when i try to print from my windows 7 machine & the printer is hooked up normally to my base(machine) .. the main computer & hp932 printer is networked to my windows 7 laptop> as well as another xp machine & they work great...

I tried several suggestions from this forum. None of them worked. Windows 7 cannot find the driver searching the web. Neither MS nor HP allow for its direct download, claiming that it has been installed or would install automatically.

Yes, I connected the printer directly to the Win 7 computer and the printer worked. However, I was not able to locate the driver on the computer to enable a manual installation for the network printer. Nowhere, could find an indication as to the name of the driver. Since the computer to which the printer is attached is an XP machine, I could not bring in the Win 7 driver there.

BTW up until a few weeks ago, I was able to use that printer under the current setup -- somewhere along the way the driver seems to have been corrupted or deleted.
