Below you'll find the settings I found best for viewing the Vizio M3D651SV in a dim room via the HDMI input. Your settings may vary depending on source, room conditions, and personal preference. Check out the Picture settings and calibration FAQ for more information.

Calibration notes: While I completed the first calibration in "Normal" Color Temperature I quickly found there was a low-level noise problem whereby black areas of the picture would appear as green with red smudges. In the end I had to recalibrate under Custom mode for while it was bluer than Normal the dark areas of the picture were much better looking, even if they were a bit crushed, and led to a terrible looking graph.
