The End of Broadcast TV?

The FCC is buying back radio spectrum from TV stations. Is the spectrum to valuable to waste on the few that still receive TV over the air. http://flatpaneldisplay.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-end-of-broadcast-tv.html

It was unclear what they were writing about. I could not find where they were talking about the old American NTSC channels or the new OTA HD channel space.

I'd find a better article next time.

OTA Thriving in Atlanta

I've had an OTA for 2 years. I was shocked that over 40 channels showed up back then. Now, its 60. Some are parked, some are religious, some are home shopping network. I did find a gen, MeTV, which has a horror hosted show on Sat. nights which reminds me of my youth. The show is called Svengoolie and they show old Universal horror films. I find it cool, nostalgic, that after decades of cable and satellite viewing I get to watch hosted horror again via antenna. cool So it seems that OTA is thriving here. I have two TVs set up and re-scan every few months. I have the OTA feed going through my Dish receivers so I can record content too.
