Calibration notes: The TCL's best initial setting, entitled "Cinematic," was exceedingly blue and too bright. Changing any of the sparse picture parameters engaged the Personal mode, so I used that to make my adjustments. The highest of the numeric color temperature presets, "2," got rid of a lot of the blue but also allowed a lot to remain. I tweaked the settings I could but color was still quite inaccurate afterward.
The trade-off here was between the primaries and the secondaries. Making the secondary colors look good made the primaries look terrible -- too red. The settings I settled upon were designed to minimize red discoloration.
