Picture settings for Samsung UN50ES6100F HDTV

I am looking for optimal settings for my new Samsung UN50ES6100F.

The picture I get with my cable box is great...

Sadly, the picture I get on my blu ray player is grainy. I can reduce the grain by setting the sharpness to 0 and the mode to movie. However, then I get a dark washed out picture. The blu ray is model HT-D5330.

I am frustrated. It seems like I got better picture quality with my old tube tv!

There must be a solution, because I get good picture when I use the cable box...
