Pansonic TC-58S1 Screen Burn In / Poor Black Levels

Have a Panasonic TC-58S1 Plasma TV. We mostly have it hooked to our PC since we dont have cable and the PC has a Blu-Ray to play our movies. Tried a THX calibration software that came with one of our movies and was able to get the white levels to work out fine but the black levels dont get anywhere near where they should. At max level, we dont see any of the THX symbol on the calibration software like we should. We have also noticed as of late that when we turn off the tv and turn it back on. Whatever screen we were in previously is fadded to the background. When we play a movie we dont see this fade but we are concerened there are more issues than know of. Any suggestions to try?
