Calibration Notes: We flicked through the many presets and found that they all pump the Contrast and Brightness levels in an attempt to hide its poor black level performance. At most settings it crushed black details and its erratic black levels made it impossible to calibrate using test patterns. As a result we had to adjust the TV by eye, resulting in better shadow detail but also much lower in contrast. Lack of controls also made grayscale and deep color calibration basically impossible.
