New T.V makes scenes look cartoonish

My folks just got a new TV, an LED to replace our broken regular LCD and I noticed after putting in a Blu-ray of attack of the clones that effects look even more animated than usual, and the characters look like they are on a green screen. The background is static and the overall effect makes it look like a cheap movie. I don't understand this never happened in the old LCD. This T.V ruined my movies, it also does this for regular shows. What settings can I change to fix this?

I looked around and I apparently have a problem called "soap opera effect" though I don't know how to change settings to fix this on my particular T.V.

You have to turn motion plus off, reason is 120hz is too fast. Thank you CNET for helping me solve this problem you've been VERY HELPFUL.
