Philips 46PFL6755 LED - 6000 SERIES

Hello Everyone,

I am a movie and music enthusiast, so i just bought a Philips 46PFL6755 LED, and i am very glad that i bought it, the picture is perfect but when i am trying to watch movies on it, the picture quality is mostly like its taken from a personal video camera or you can say that the movie is playing like a soap opera. Can anyone here please tell me how to set the setting in this LED television to get the desired movie effect without the soap opera quality... Please i need some help from you guys..i am not a tech savvy..anyway any comments or solutions are deeply appreciated...

Thank you Bob..that really helps a lot to understand whats really happening...

is there a way to turn this thing(SOE) off ?? I have tried it out...but i couldn't find that option on my LED...any further suggestions would be really appreciated..

HDMI input

No, my video source is a satellite box and it has HDMI input, the output is the same whether u connect it to a satellite or a bluray player.

Actually i tried out everything, but nothing seems to work .and
there is no such thing as "digital natural motion " on my LED, the setting provided are pretty basic...

PS: what does a dynamic contrast ration do? bcoz my Dynamic screen contrast is 1000000:1 and it has <b>120 Hz Tru Motion.</b>

--does these have anything to do with the Soap Opera Effect...


please advice..

Picture quality

Hello Kaiser

I also plan to buy 46PFL6755 this weekend. Would like to know how the picture quality is from normal SD channel. I have seen HD channel and that looked perfect to me but they have not given me demo with standard HD channel.

Also from what distance you find picture perfect. Waiting for your input

although my LED has in built HD Natural Motion and i happen to like it, but some people seems to hate it, as some movies are supposed to be seen in 24fps, but this model has a different view, so have a demo before buying it, strongly recommended.
