Is it possible to list the version of the panel on the c630 that cnet used to find these calibration settings? (i.e. does the serial sticker on your c630 testing tv read AA, SQ, or C?)

Thanks, Katzmaier... Your settings helped a lot. Since this is my first LCD purchase, I'm still trying to get used to it. The settings seem way better than out of the box. However, I am having one problem. For some reason, it won't let me choose "full screen" under screen size. Other than that, all adjustments were calibrated to your recommendation and so far so good. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

"full screen"

I don't understand your reply to tomtran77. I have the same problem in that my "full screen" setting is ghosted out. Otherwise things look pretty good. Why is it ghosted out on my set?

Calibration/Settings for viewing sports?

I recently purchased the LN46C630 (w/ SQ05 panel) and I've spent a lot of time reading through and trying out various calibration settings. While the majority of the "movie mode" settings look fantastic with my BR player, these settings look horrible with sports games. The picture is way too dark/dull.

Does anyone have any recommendations for sports-appropriate settings? Thanks.

Side Notes...
Sharpness above a setting of 10 produced image distortion.
Sometimes the Auto Motion Plus Anti Judder setting of 2 produced better results.

AMP update

UPDATE to my Side Notes...

my auto motion plus is not working properly, here is how I know.

the Off setting & the Custom setting with both blur & judder set to 0 should be the same; however, the Custom setting with both blur & judder set to 0 will introduce artifacts on still images. this is a problem that did not exist when the tv was new.

even weirder, the Clear setting does not produce artifacts on still images, and seems to work similar to the Off setting.

I just tried these settings when using them for broadcast HDTV and have found them to be horrible. They may work for movies but for everyday viewing, not so good.

To the person above with the LN46c600 I suspect that the settings for the 630 are going to be very close if not right on, I used the 630 settings for my LN55c750 and from what I'm seeing they are very close to where I like the picture viewing Blu-Ray's have not set up the Cable TV yet so can't comment on that. Best settings for HD-basketball from PC with HDMI

I have a Samsung with type no LE46C635 or model code LE46C635K1WXXE.

Is this a better og lesser version of the C630 mentioned here and what are the differences?

I have tried all the recommended settings in this thread for movie and sport, but have not found a ideal setting for my frequent view of 720p HD NBA basketball from my PC with HDMI.

Any other recommended settings for this and watching movies in 720p x264 mkv format from PC?
