Ln52B610 and LN52B630 the Same

Can anyone tell me if these two Samsung models are the same. Looking at their specs, they look pretty much identical with the exception of internet connectivity so I wondered if I could use the 630 settings for my 610?

Kaliman123,

The B610 models have a Wide Color Enhancer 2 technology, while the B630 models have a Wide Color Enchancer 3 technology. So in essence, it's not the identical panel, but the settings for one might work pretty closely with the other.

You could try the settings for the other as a starting point, and that may help you get to where you want to go with tuning your picture.

Should I expect to see dramatic differences in settings and image quality between the two on the basis of this difference 2 vs. 3?

It will probably be different, but not dramatic. Again, perception is the best test. Look at both, and see which ones have colors that you like. If you don't see a difference, don't pay for the difference.

Thanks for all of you answers. Do you know if the LN52B610 allows unique picture settings to be retained for each input channel (i.e., HDMI 1 different than HDMI 2)?
