Setting Needed: Panasonic TH-50px60u

Please help with these.so far I'm using the Panasonic 42px80U but those controls go to 100 and this older models's only go to 30. I did the math and tried to match but I'm not sure.

Thanks so much. Does anyone know if there is any difference in the result between starting in "Standard" picture Mode vs. Vivid and applying all the rest of the settings the same? I cant tell for sure.

Picture modes are not the same

I have a Panasonic plasma TH-42PZ85U. The picture mode settings are unique to a particular mode. The same setting numbers in Standard mode produce a very different result than in Vivid mode.

Here are the settings I use in Standard mode, that give me, in my opinion, an exceptional, natural looking picture for just about any room lighting, time of day, or programming:

STANDARD PICTURE MODE - Panasonic plasma TH-42PZ85U
Picture: 80 (once in a while I bump it up to 85, but rarely)
Brightness: 60
Color: 40 (the default 50 is too saturated - not natural)
Tint: -15 (to correct a slight green-yellow tint on faces)
Sharpness: 75
Color temp: Cool (further corrects slight green-yellow tint on faces)
Video NR: Off
Color Management: On (it seems to increase blues and greens a bit)
Black Level: Light

Stay away from vivid!

Vivid picture mode will TORCH your screen. Do not use it - it is WAY overblown with brightness, color saturation, and sharpness. It's not a good idea to use on plasmas because of image retention. There are SO many more pleasing settings than vivid.

I set my TV to what I listed earlier in this post, and have left it there for the last three years. I have ZERO complaints - I absolutely LOVE this TV!
