Cannot transfer Windows Live Mail to Windows Live Mail

I just put in a new flash drive hard drive on my Windows 7 computer. When trying to transfer my emails by exporting them and then importing them to the new hard drive I get the folders but only one email per folder. I have multiple emails per folder. The first time I tried copying all folders and when I tried to import the new folder to the hard drive it said there were no emails in the folder. Ideas?

The problem I had was the size of the flash drive I was using to transfer the email folders. I had an 8 gb drive but the emails must have been larger than that. I transfered them on an external hard drive and they all downloaded and transfered without difficulty. Thanks!
