bounced messages due to overquote...how to fix

suddenly i have started receiving notifications that my incoming email messages have been bounced because i am over quota in my windows live mail acct. I have emptied all of my sent and deleted folders but im still getting the bounced message and not receiving new incoming email as a result.
I looked for a solution to this problem such as increasing the capacity of my email program but cant find anything in either live mail help or the tools or properties section.
Can anyone direct me to a solution to this problem? Im sure there is a simple answer as i cant even find it in my copy of Windows 7 for Dummies!

You'll have to get someone at Microsoft to help.

For now you can sign up for a few other free email accounts such as yahoo, gmail and spread the load.

There is no simple answer to this one as only Microsoft can reinstate your email. In the meantime look for any trash folder to empty and let's hope you are not using this to send newsletters or spam.

You shouldn't look in your Windows Live folders on your PC. You should look in the Inbox (and possibly other boxes, because they all count for your quota) in the mail server. For that, you use webmail.

The inbox in the mail server can get full if you have set the account options in Windows Live Mail to leave mail on the server forever. So after deleting all that mail in the web client, better change that setting.
