Unable to delete some e-mails from a POP account

Hi, I have a POP account with Orange, and use Windows Live Mail to read the mails. I am unable to delete or move some of the emails from the inbox and get the error message:

"An unknown error has occurred"

Any help in resolving this would be much appreciated!
