Problem with sign in Live email

I knew this day would probably come! I have a new laptop. On my old laptop I am signed into Live email. Tried to sign in on new computer. Apparently changed pw and didn't write it down so I'm now locked out of my account on new computer but still signed in on old one. I've had the account a long time and alternate email address is no longer valid. I also apparently spelled the answer to the secret question differently than I remember because that doesn't work either. Am I just SOL or does anyone know of a solution?
No way am I going to trust the "account recovery " sites. Not putting my info in one of those! Anyone? Thanks!
