windows live messanger error : msi-check: 0x80280002

hey friends please help me out
whenever i have tried to install the messenger i get this error as to download the latest virsion of the same & then install
but till date i have downloaded about 20 times the latest 1 but still the same error is there
please help me out what should i do @

did you restart your computer after you downloaded the new version? Something similar happened to my sister and she kept getting the old version when she opened what she thought was Win Live 2009. Afer she restarted the new one came up.

solve msi_check error

To solve msi_check error: 0x80280002 go to http://download.microsoft.com and search for latest Windows Installer. Download and install it on your computer. This should solve your problem. Sofia,

It's very unlikely you'll get an answer in Italian, as we are an English language site.
And it's unlikely you'll get a useful answer if you don't tell the details about your problem in English. Now all we know: there is some error checking some msi-file.
