Windows Mobile com port reset

Hey, I am wondering if there is a way to reset the com ports on Windows Mobile. I am trying to connect a pair to a bluetooth printer, but all of my com ports are assigned already. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, I have 3 WinMo machines. A WM Treo 650, HP 211 and a Pharos M619. Not one is like the next but to change the assigned com port is not something I've seen it do. I can forget a BT device and start over but as there are 255 Com ports, how could you run out?

Com ports

Where i am running into the problem is after I've paired the printer with the bluetooth and I try to assign a port to it. When I do this, I only have 4 options for ports. I've already paired 4 different printers and removed them when I was done, but the 4 ports are still being assigned to those printers.

Something's not right.

I write apps for WinMo and we use Serial Port Profile over BlueTooth and there are 255 COM ports (maybe 256 but most folk don't use COM0 or COM255.

Since there are more details available I am left to share what I know but can't guess if said printer software was not updated to allow more than 4 or something else is going on. I know folk don't want to tell all at times so I'm left to share what I know as a developer and then have you call the folk that write your printer software.

Windows Mobile has a registry just like Windows so such COM port assignments are also there. Remember I only know what you reveal and the rest is me using what I know to fill in the blank areas. But as I was developing our Bluetooth apps I did discover a lot.
