With Mobile 5 or 6 how is a Remote desktop connection made directly to the Server 2003 console?

RDP is getting rather long in the tooth and most firewalls and routers add more to the discussion than I can cover.

There is also the problem if this is serial, bluetooth or some network connection and you can see that it's one of those never ending discussions.

Let's start with the first tutorial I could find.

Yes, get your point - the question is not well structured. I have the connection from the mobile to the laptop and can use the desktop. The mobile is an GTC touchpro with mobile 6.1 and the laptop is an HP dv2120 with Server 2003R2 SP1 x32. There are no routers, peripheral devices or anything other than wifi. The purpose is to use the mobile device as a remote control of the laptop - I envision somethink like
