Need help - bluetooth pairing netbook and smartphone

A couple days ago, my Acer Eee PC would no longer sync via USB with my Sasmsung Jack, kept getting hardware errors. I wanted to do a reset but also wanted to back up the phone. With it not being able to sync via cable, I paired them via bluetooth and backed up the phone fine.

Now that I have done the master reset on the phone, neither device will recognize the other. Both are set to visible, and both will find all other bluetooth devices in range, but not one another. And they paired fine before I reset the phone

What is going on here?

Hardware-
Phone; Samsung Jack, Windows Mobile 6.5
PC; Asus Eee PC 1005ha, Windows 7

Just fixed my WM 6.5 phone.

The USB cable had gone bad. Sadly the Blutooth (BT) setup is ancient and non-intuitive. My only advice is to fish around your windows BT pages and remove the pairing. THIS IS NON STANDARD SO I CAN NOT OFFER ANY STEP BY STEP! I can only offer what I do when it fails.

I never thought to remove the old pairing! I removed that old pairing and it showed right up!

Ask around and see if anyone has other ideas.

You don't want to know what I think of Windows and WM BT pairing. I author a few too many apps that rely on BT for the link. In short, it could be a lot better.
