Thank you for your reply, your direction is very clear and understandable. I appreciate detailed instruction and rational. After the Sprint 7month battle and receiving this phone, (just a phone)no manual, no sync or charger, no sydstem install cd, and the final decision from Sprint was NOT to send the full contents of the box that the phone handset is in...I had to go to yet my 6th Sprint location and was finally assisted with a "hard reset". Outlook exchange server was initiated, I am not using my phone to access corporate work email, nor is it a company phone, so that service i believe should have Never been enabled. Since it was, a hard reset was recommended also due to the fact that it is unknown what was previously put on or programed by the 3rd party Sprint Full Service location that "handed me a handset" -
I still have not done the sync, I have not reset or configured my phone settings. I do have to go online, print or view the manual while setting up entire phone - and then follow the windows mobile device for syncs.
I am a bit leary on digging back into this with no direction or manual in front of me. I am one to get on the computer, do my job, or get my information and move on. Heck I can' even figure out how to make file for pictures or how to do the music feature.
The email features andprogram settings I found in outlook on the device itself, but still have yet to find what you describe for the account settings. But i will follow your direction as I won't be satisfied until i actually see where i am able to change settings myself. Then I can move on.
The 5 picturemail email settings are set in stone per Sprint, it is the phone information and can't be changed, so we just go around it by taking picture, then forwarding by personal choice email from each member of the family. Then they have their personal identification when connecting with others. We just don't use the picture mail feature.
Your last sentence, on getting acquainted with the manual and getting direction on how individual settings for each phone- i am going to research that a bit more. (color me stupid< ) - i just have this tick or nagging thought in the back of my head telling me that each phone is used by an individual, the account holder or main number on an account is not the "user' of each phone, therefore that main phone number account holder
s name shouldn't be imbedded in each and every phone....it is just a bit irritating to see someone's name on every communication one is doing on their phone. I think that should be a programable change either by the service provider or the main account holder should be able to change. I was able to name each phone and change it on the online website managing the account. That was a start.
and moving on to the technical question forum so I can ad a question/discussion on how to's "idiots guide to syncing picture transfer's and music download playlist configuring/transfers on an ...HTC Touch Pro2, windows 6.5 - sprint- dell vista/windows 7, IE7 system.
