Dell C521 Vista boot issues, help appreciated :)

I have a Dell Dimension C521, it came across some viruses so I removed them using MalwareBytes, it asked to restart and so i did. Once it had restarted it just stays on the vista loading bar screen and gets no further. I try restartign again and even booting in safe mode, problem is, it won't let me use any keyboard (I've tried multiple). There is power going to the USB ports and everything but it just won't let me scroll to choose safe mode. How can I go about fixing this without full system and OS restore? [I've also tried fleeing all power out by unplugging the power cable and holding power button down before restarting]

http://en.community.dell.com/dell-groups/new-to-community/f/3511/t/19255640.aspx echoes what I've learned about this Dell.

Use only the Dell keyboard and only on the ports the setup chart shows.
