Why do I even try?

Once again Dell customer service shows exactly why I shouldn't bother with them. I should have known better as I own several Dell and Alienware systems and never had a good experience with their customer service. I checked out the cyber monday sales at Dell and decided to buy the McAfee Total Protection 2012 for 3 users for 6.99. Awesome price, but when I clicked to buy it, I was sent to a page that said that product couldn't be purchased online.....well that seemed odd, but whatever, I called the order in. They said they had sold out, and it wasn't on the web site anymore. I told them it was still on the site, and they may want to address that, as it will make people cross. I was asked to refresh my browser to see if it was still there, and lo and behold....it was. The customer service person said she couldn't see it, so it wasn't there. Um, I was looking at it....Oh well. She said I most likely hit F5, not refresh the browser.....Nope, I had closed and opened another one. She went on to say they had some McAfee total protection for one user, but not the 3 user one that was on sale, that's why they removed it from the site. Once again I did inform her it is still on the site, that I was looking at it. She then offered to sell me 3 single user McAfee total protection 2012s at full price of 59.99. I gave up. I've delt with Dell customer service before and NEVER really receive anything like actual customer service, whether its been a software issue, tech issue or order issue. That said I love my AlienWare computers and will most likely continue to buy them. This, of course makes me part of the problem not the solution, but I like the products, I just hate the company.
