Dell Software and I have to pay to get it removed

Rant: Have 5-different Dell's and for the most part been pleased with them. The latest is a 17-inch laptop. After removing a bunch of crud off the computer I didn't want but that's fine, I allways have to do that kind of stuff. I installedmy software, now I get a message about Dell wanting to update my software. Dell wants me to agree to allow them to access my computer, upload what they want any time. I do not agree with this but there is no way to get past it.

Call Dell, ask if they can advise what software they loaded on my PC which needs to be removed. Dell will not talk to you unless you purchase a software warrenty. You have got to be kidding me, they load software I don't want and I have to pay them to remove it.

Next time maybe Acer, HP or anybody else, but no more Dell's.

One common "crapware" remover of a new bloated PC is CCleaner. Google for it and use it in its basic default install. Then use the add/remove feature to further remove unwanted s/w.

We have many tools for this including those built into the OS.

HOWEVER imagine the poor owner that uninstalled Dell Quickset. The problems they have next are classic.

Try IO Bit

Another good FREE program is IO Bit's Uninstaller 2. Download it from the main software page here, do normal install and start removing everything you need to.....

The Dells at the office had no issues with the topic. All the software titles were in the Control Panels for us to remove.

But the above illustrates a good point. Some do not want to learn about Windows and should pay for support until they catch up.
