transfering video from sony handicam to dell vostro 1015

I've a problem from importing video from sony handycam (TRV285E)
to dell vosto 1015 in windows 7 system. for tranfering vedio in windows 7, i-link cable is required. Now my question is whether vostro 1015 has any i-link port(firwall port) available with its driver.
I am trying with one local made i-1394 cable from my handycom dv port to my dell vostro (left side small conector port) but not recogniseing any hardware in the picture browsing software.
any help please.
Is't the problem of i1394 cable or the software iam using (downloading from sony-asia.com latest version without registration) or dell vostro 1015 port . (USB cable available but it is not compatible with windows 7 system).
I want to solve this problem in windows 7 .
