Dell heating issue

Basically yesterday my Dell Optiplex GX520 decided to crash on its own. I was thinking it was dust, so I cleaned out the system and it crashed again :/. The CPU and the Graphic were pretty hot, while the hard drive and the power supply were warmer then usual. I changed the thermal paste on the CPU and graphic heat sink, it crashed again. I bet its the fan, but I could do with some suggestions on what it might be.

I'm running Windows 7
1.0 GB Ram
Intel Pentium 4 HT
Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family
No Hardware/Software upgrades before or after the crash.

Temp

Do you have a program installed to see what the temp really is on those Components?
If not, download and run "speedfan". It's a free program and works very well. It should give you the actual temps depending of where the sensors are on your motherboard.
It gives the temps in degrees Celsius. If you want Fahrenheit just convert it.

Sensor

Some motherboards have them some don't. My Dell 435T has 4 of them so it's pretty easy.
The HDO you are seeing is the hard drive temp.
33 Celsius is only 91.4 Fahrenheit which is good. Mine runs higher than that at 36 Celsius.
I have no idea as to what would cause the processor to run hot other than the paste, heat sink and fan.
Video cards always run hotter.

Very Hot

I understand the PC should get hot, but my pc crashes because of the heat admitted by the graphics card's heatsink/processors heatskin. I'm starting to think its a Power Supply issue. I might send it in.

Check fans

Verify the fans are running(spinning) and at proper RPM. If it slow or spotty operation, replace or swap out. All too often a fan which can't be readily seen is about to go or already stopped. Of course all other fans need to be running, you truly have to physically see them spinning. just ordinate yourself to do this. happy -----Willy
