Dell people ignoring my request!

I have purchased a dell laptop(Inspiron 1545) on 24/10/2009.It came with preloaded Windows 7.I have asked dell people to give me genuine Windows 7 and Driver and Utility CD.But they are ignoring my request.Tell me what to do?

Unless you ordered and paid for it the best you can hope for is some OEM restore media. There are some that want to clean install but how would you do that since all the units I tried that with required not only drivers but Dell Quickset.

You can request a complete set of OS and other discs from this page:
https://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/en/backupcd_form

Hope that helps. I was under the impression that Dell was providing OS discs with all systems but I see that you need to specify this when you order a new system (even though the discs are FREE!). It appears you forgot to check this.

You could order restore media but that is NOT what you wrote you wanted above. If you want a full version of Windows you would have to purchase that.

A few can't wrap their head about the various OEM versions and why this costs. Go figure.

The machine does not come with what you want so while you did ask, you won't get it for free. So the answer is very clear. Go buy what you want.

Funny. Everytime I call dell I get india support. LMAO!!!! Do I need to goto India to make a call to get U.S support?

Maybe that's what we have all been missing!!!
I did get US support one time when I called the person who sold me my computer and told him I couldn't understand a word our friends from across the pond were saying.
He transferred me to a tech in Tennessee. Problem resolved in 15 min
including hold time.
