Dell Inspiron 1545 problem

Hi everyone. I'm having a problem with my month old Dell Inspiron 1545 sad Just a few minutes ago I went to get on it to play a game. I pressed the power button, the power light came on, it sounded like it was gonna start up, and then it just shut off. What is causing this? Can it be fixed? I'm going to college in like... a week and I need to know what's up with it. Thanks in advance.

Fixed!

I fixed it. All I had to do was remove the battery, plug it in, see if it worked. It didn't, so I put the battery back in, kept it plugged in and held power button for 10/15 secs. It's up and running now. happy Not sure what happened! Just thought this might be useful for another with this problem.

Try running on just the battery again to make sure everything's OK. If there's a problem, contact Dell Support. It should work without the battery installed.
